find a UNICHIP dealer - they are normally well trained at remapping too. They will tune the cars cams to the UNICHIP.

Re: 3.8 cams and sprockets in 3.6 neep remap ?

We have some Unichip dealers here in Brazil, but the thing that I don't like is that every time you want to change something you need to pay him a fee, for the remap, and messing with car eletrical harness, in order to do that i would preffer a bolt on chip, even if it have worse performance. I think that Unichip do not take the speed limit off.

Re: 3.8 cams and sprockets in 3.6 neep remap ?

I think the 3.6L and 3.8L cams are the same ... they have the same part number on realoem.com anyways.

The gears do make a difference with a little more low end torque though.

cheers,

Dave Menheere

Re: 3.8 cams and sprockets in 3.6 neep remap ?

I had a brief conversatoin with Mark D'Sylva on this issue and he indicated to me that no change in remapping was required when changing to the 3.8l exhaust sprocket.
