Susp. Replace/Uprgrade

How much leaking fluid from the rear shocks is too much? Is it all or nothing? My '91 seems to ride fine, but the rears are leaking slightly. I also get a slight groan from the passenger rear when turning up a steep hill to the passenger' side, but other than that the suspension seems pretty supple.

KK, as a response to your Dinan I thoughts on the "oil leak after Dinan upgrade" message, do your camber plates cause unnecessary tire wear on the highway? I don't track yet, but have plans too.

I have not noticed any tire wear problems. I only get about 1.5 degrees which shouldn't cause a problem if you even things out with some aggressive driving.

I recommend either the Ireland Eng. or Dinan vs. the KMACS (they get you about 1 degree negative). The KMACS don't use the stock strut bearing and only have a thin urethane bushing. Believe me, you feel the difference. The Dinan type plate simply bolts on to the top of the strut bearing so you retain the rubber in the stock bearing. It may not be as "trick" but it is a lot more comfortable. I can hardly wait to remove the KMACS.

I used the BMW camber corrector upper strut mount. Something like $80 each.
These are specified to provide an additional -.5 degrees of camber. Their construction is the same as the stock units with an offset.
Obviously, they provide the same as original ride quality with the increase in negative camber.
