Safety (@ +200km/h, brake kit, etc.)

IMHO safety when driving a car is: DRIVER, TIRES, BRAKES, SUSPENSION and CAR CONSTRUCTION (crumple zones, airbag, etc.) in that order.

Driver=don't drive drunk, don't cross the limits the car has, don't be stupid.

Tires=Yokohama AVS Sport or any other good tire with a water thread design.

Brakes=? One thing is for sure: BMW stock brakes are unsafe ate speeds over 250km/h and don't have the best performance/durability/reliability. The best brakes are either Movit's Porsche Upgrade Kits and AP Racing's kit. I've consulted AP Racing and their kit is only for the front brake. They said that aftermarket kits for the rear don't add much performance. ?? On the other hand Movit has Porche TT and GT2 (Terminator) kits that can be installed in both front and rear. Since the most important issue is SAFET (=your life) and not COST, my question is: who is right, Movit or AP Racing? What combo upgrade kit gives you the ABSOLUTE BEST braking power?

The best combo is the AP racing in the front, and the 328mm factory brake (which you should already have if your car is a '95) on the rear. Nothing wrong with the Movits, either, but as food for thought, when Ed Arnold Racing's E34 M5 won the Supercar series in America, they were using AP Racing brakes, not Porsche.

Once you've got the right hardware in place, then it's just a matter of selecting a friction compound appropriate for your driving style.
