Hot smell from rear passenger side (RHD car)
Hot smell - almost like a rubber smell.
Tyre seems hot on inside - but it's very close to the exhaust.........
Only seems to do it when damp.
is it just the heat off the exhaust or something more sinister?

Re: Hot smell from rear passenger side (RHD car)
I get it most days, sometime a rubber smell, sometimes a slightly more burnt hair smell.
Either that or you've got a plastic bag stuck under there that is melting slowly.

Have a look underneath......I had a similar problem and found the remains of something plastic melted to the cat's. It took weeks to burn it off....
