Re: EGT numbers someone ???

I've never seen egts on an e34 m5 before but I have heard bad stories about using aftermarket spark plugs.

Re: EGT numbers someone ???

1460 is is perfectly normal for an aspirated car, where did you puy the probe ???
In turbo cars we usualy use it 10 cm after the turbo, and see a little bit colder than that, like 1350. If it is stick before the turbo, just after the ex. manifold 1450 is pretty ok

Re: EGT numbers someone ???

There is no difference in EGT with stock and iridium plugs . I put the probe right after the head about 10sm from exhaust valve

Re: EGT numbers someone ???

probably not ... they just need to be the same temp grade.

I use grade 10 in my S2 RS, only because I run on Ethanol
