M% wanted

Looking for an M5 - dont mind high mileage or something needing a little bit of work.

Any one on here have anything suitable?

Looking for a project car, so don't really want an immaculate perfect motor.

Re: M% wanted

Be Careful,

My first E34 M5 was a supposedly 'mint' example - it turned into being a money-pit shortly afterwards - (needing EDC Shockers, Coil Packs, Exhaust sections, e.t.c.)- and I wouldn't have even called that a 'project' car !

Best Bet is to buy on Condition and Maintenance, rather than miles alone (alhough low mileage can be a desirable selling-point).

If I was looking for an E34 M5 knowing what I know now, I'd buy off this board from an Enthusiast - not a 'Specialist' Dealer that hikes prices and puts on the tyre glaze !

(See Recent Posts - there's a couple of 3.8s and at least one Touring I think up for sale here).

Re: M% wanted

Nexus, I am planning on selling my 1995 Limited Edition.

It's due an Inspection II in a few thousand miles and four tyres now.
That would cost me £1250. The wheels should be refurbished to make them look perfect (£200 for nice work at a place in Hemel Hempstead). The front end has stonechips and there's the odd other minor scratch around if you look hard enough.

So I'd consider selling it as-is for £8500. I think that price is very fair.

It has 147,600 miles at the moment but with FSH and a new short engine from BMW at 114300.

The EDC shocks are all working and all of the suspension bushes, including the Pitman arms and subframe mounts have been replaced in the last few months. I've replaced many components as a preventative measure to avoid them failing.

It has just two modifications, Bi-Xenon lights which I installed, and a UUC EVO3 Short Shifter kit, which is excellent.

It had a new Radiator and Aux. Water pump two weeks ago and new front brakes were fitted on Saturday.

A couple of members here have driven it on Sunday, and commented on how nice it felt.

I've owned it for just over a year, and 35,000 miles in that time.

I know the car inside-out, so I can obviously answer any questions you might have. It's a beautiful, amazingly capable car. I really love it, but I fancy a change.

Let me know if you're interested.
Andy

Sorry, looking for more of a project car, yours look nice and i'd love an le but cannot stretch to that i'm afraid.

I'm looking more for the earlier 3.6 m5 - hence why i'm not worried about mileage (so long as its been serviced!)

Fair enough. I'll continue to get those jobs done, and hopefully sell for reasonable money!

Otherwise, if you find eight and a half grand, you know what to do with it.
