Nice write up - seeing that english registered M535 was a bit of deja vous as my grandfather bought D642LFC new (320i), and when we went to pick it up (I was only about 7, but its one of those lasting memories) I remember seeing a whole load of other new BMWs with the same lettering, and similar numbering - whether that M535 was one of them or not I cant recall......
