One of our gang has gone to live in Germany to study for a year.

He's a BMW and Japanese car enthusiast

Can anyone recommend some good junk yards in Germany that may have ///M cars ?

Hi Tony,

Over at the General Mechanical forum, at Bimmerforums, a good online friend, dworthy, lives in Germany, and is a BMW pro tech. He's who you need to ask. Put a post there, or look for dworthy on a thread, and send him a PM. I'll run over to that forum and send him a message asking him to watch for a contact from you.

I suspect the ebay.de parts are drying up because the parts are drying up generally. I think you'd be really really lucky to find rare M cars sitting in a junkyard where the owner isnt aware of the rarity and value of certain parts.

best of luck with it though.

I was lucky back in 2007 to buy a complete S38B36 engine for $600 , headers were $30 , that was in Jakarta.

Agree , the E34 M5 parts are drying up , 2 years ago there was a lot of bits on eBay.de that we thought were a reasonable price and Taffy bought a few things for stock.

Now there's a handful of parts and they're double or triple the price they were 2 years ago and look like corroded junk.

I still have a bunch of S38B36 parts laying around. Full engine, M5 steering boxes, LSD's, etc. BMW M specific breakers are difficult to find. I know one in Holland but doesnt speak english. Hell, even communicating in Dutch is a disaster with this guy haha. For Germany Ebay.de is your friend but also expect to pay the Ebay premium in Germany. M-specific items go for stupid money but as we say in Holland: ''Better too expensive than unavailable''. Still, I have a few addresses in Holland but these guys are under the radar. No phone numbers, no websites. As said before let me know what he needs and I will ask my network.

Furthermore I am currently working with a manufacturing company here in China that can actually do very specific small order production of performance parts or NLA part. I have already send a bunch of drawings to them and the pricing is good, quality too thanks to Aussie management. I am taking a bunch of samples to Holland next week to see what the reception is. If the E34 M5 crowd needs part such as short shifters, gears, oil coolers, larger ARB, strut braces just let me know. I am always willing to help fellow enthusiasts out keeping our hobby affordable!
