Thanks de Witt.
I've seen most Australian M5 articles but not that one.
Legendary Australian motoring journo Peter Robinson, also from Wheels, was stationed in Italy for many years.
Here he recalls a trip a trip across the Alps to Munich in an M5 which he says was his fastest ever. Video: BMW M5 E34 - World's Greatest Cars Pt.8
Great stuff.
Glad you like it. I think I have a few more Aussie reviews. If they are not already on the site, Ill post them up. Just trying to keep the info out there and available
I was born and bred in Australia and I never once saw an E34 M5 on the roads in Sydney or Adelaide , it was always those Wheels / Modern Motor etc magazine articles
Finally when I get to Jakarta fate drops an M5 in my lap when talking to a client who bought it but didn't like manual transmissions. A few weeks later it was mine.
Some of the information in that article is questionable? I thought they were 1750kg, not 1670kg? And 234kw, not 232kw? Was under the impression there were 88 M5's in Australia, not 60 and he jokes that 5th isn't an overdrive.... at 0.81?
