      Rear Window Shade

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else has had to replace their rear window shade. I had the car parked one day in San Jose in some hot weather and one of the little plastic clips that connects the folding arm to the windows shade seems to have melted (softened) and snapped causing the other arm clip to snap from the tension. SCBMW is telling me that they can't just fix the clips, but will have to replace the entire rear window shade system for $1322. This seems a bit much.

Can anyone recommend a better solution or is this the only way to fix this and does it really cost this much?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

      -Karl
