Front EDC strut removal and refitting

I'm toying with removing my front struts to replace the springs, bump stops and any other rubber type items that I find.

I'd appreciate any feedback from you guys that have in the past removed the front struts, especially the EDC equiped versions.

Any tips, words of warning etc would be greatly appreciated.

I'm particularly concerned about the EDC connections and how to deal with removing them.

I may while I'm at treat myself to a couple of new front disks

I'm having my back axle bushes done at another dealer on Friday and as the distance is a bit much I may be forced into doing some of the easier tasks myself. I've rebuilt the complete suspension on my Capri's so I'm not entirely virgin, but would as I say appreciate any suggestions...

Re: Front EDC strut removal and refitting

Plisken:

My car is in the shop right now. I have them going through the entire suspension. They should be supplying me with a parts list in the next couple of days. I can share that with you and then the US prices that I find. As the work is completed I could also forward comments or thoughts from the technician doing the work. He has been taking care of my car for a couple of years now and does a great job.

Regards, John Z.
