POPPP! TSssssss...

Oh good, a puncture.

It's been a while since I used a standard jack - so frequently using my 3T high-lift trolley job, I'd forgotten that the standard jacks are absolutely rubbish.

This puncture is right on the shoulder of my (already oddly-worn) potenza, so two new ones tomorrow or Saturday.

It's a sad case that I'm resigned to a day of phone calls, trying to get someone relatively local (I'm in Exeter at the moment) to pricematch Micheldever or Mytyres, just so I can get a pair of S03s (to match the relatively new backs) for less than three hundred quid...

Must also remember to get the tracking checked again, don't want another pair of tyres going down the drain!

Re: POPPP! TSssssss...

Exeter is a desert, if you want anything bigger than an Escort tyre ex. stock.

Alltyres found me a pair of Dunlop 9000's at about £275 fitted, but it took 24hours to get them.

Re: POPPP! TSssssss...

Cheers Sam, I've had this problem before in Exeter.

A friend has informed me of a place in Plymouth who might be able to help. I don't mind the trip if they can, I can do some work at the Plymouth office if that's the case.

Victor Barry Tyres apparently, but I'm waiting for a call back.

Otherwise, I'll leave my previously unused (metric) spare on the car until I get home on Sunday.

Andy, if you dont mind a trip to Plymouth give Bathwicks a ring. They're down at Milbay, I've used them for years, not found anyone cheaper (yet!!!).

Re: POPPP! TSssssss...

Johnnym5,

Cheers for that. Victor Barry tyres in Plymouth were also recommended by an E30-owning mate. They can fit them for £338 but can't deliver until next Tuesday, when I'll be back at home.

As it happens, I've sorted out a pair in close proximity to a site visit which I'll have to do on Sunday. £300.04.

Cheers!
Andy
