Fair enough. I didn't think it was a problem after looking at the wiring diagram, but even Vauxhall can wire them to be switched by the rear demister....!

Would this be a wiring diagram for the E34 or indeed one for the M5?
If it is the latter, then where did you source such a thing?

Sorry, I forgot to add - this (and PDFs for all other BMWs) was on the "ETM" CD - available from the same source as you got your ETK and TIS!
All I got is the Haynes book, obviously not covering the M and the Bently book, which again does not cover the M.
What I'm really looking for, is how the deadlocking works, which is different from my 94 525, on that car the locking had two stages, one for normally locking the door, and the second stage was deadlocking and the window/sunroof closure feature. On my M5 and I'm sure many of yours will be the same, it has only one locking position and that position deadlocks the doors.
Hence I'd like to see how this is wired and how it differs from the other E34 models.
My alarm as such dos not deadlock the doors when armed, which is annoying me
Not wanting to go back to the installer, you see...

Will have a look through tonight and see if anything jumps out at me.
Really I just need to find out where to connect the alarm's locking signal wire to, as it is obviously just locking the doors, but not deadlocking them. Would not have though it would be too difficult, might be best to pull the door card off and have a look
