Re: Heated Door Mirrors

If I am not completely misstaken, the heating of the door mirrors AND the screen washer ejectors on the hood, is automatically controlled. If the temperature is below 4 degrees centigrades the heating is started. That means that you might have a problem with the managing unit (whichever that is).

With regards to the deadlock of the doors and the centralised closing of wndows and sun roof it all works on my car. This means that I have two lock positions for the key. I also have, what I beleive is a standard feature, a heating built into the driver door handle. If it freezes, I simply lift the handle for 30 seconds and a heater defrosts the key cylinder . It is a 1991 (built in november/december 1990) for the German market.

Is this normal? Looking at the wiring diagram there's no switch. I would've expected them to be switched with the rear demister.

So, that's why they're always dirty. Dirty, soapy or screenwashy water dries on them in seconds.

Are yours hot too?
The heated mirrors are always on, but I have never found this to be a problem, rather an advantage, perhaps yours are getting too much current... normally they evaporate water at a rate that leaves them practically clear at all times, be it rain or snow... Can't beat that

Regards
