BMW E34 Headlights + Angel Eyes

I have seen these on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...905113908&rd=1 and as my first course of action to liven up the lights on my M5 was to get new headlights anyway (as 140k miles has yellowed mine a little).

These cost no more than BMW parts, but have the 'angel eye' halo sidelight effect.

Anyone used these? Are they any good?

The next path (after new headlights) would be the HID upgrade - and I would of needed new units to make the most of them anyway (hence the new headlights first).

The Buy-It-Now price seems relatively high for what you get, but I'm not too keen on the bling-bling look.

GSF Car Parts sell OEM (Bosch or Hella) headlamps for the E34 for £23.50 + vat (dip) and £23.00 +vat (main) I'd been investigating new lamps before a HID upgrade too. That's only £110 for four new lamps. Half of the cost of the angels.

I'm not so sure about them myself. I tink that straighforward replacement lights and HIDS would look cool enough. The angel eye look a but max power IMHO.

Best

Re: BMW E34 Headlights + Angel Eyes

Obviously I wasn't planning on paying the 'Buy-it-now' price, but for a full set of headlights it seems I could get a good deal.

Also the GSF price is probably just for the each headlight and not the whole assembly - although I don't know how much that would add to the price, it just means I would get a new housing at the same time!

Re: BMW E34 Headlights + Angel Eyes

Right, finally decided to go for the 'angel eye' conversion (£200),

but WITH the HID conversion (£490) as well. BMW wanted £140 per side for the whole unit and I would still have probably done the HID bit as well.

Total cost is about £800, including fitting - and a nice drive to an from Chesterfield!

Getting them installed next week so I'll let you see what they look like then!
