You might want to email Dinan for most of these answers. As far as before and after times it would vary greatly on the car(Not to mention the skill of the driver). Not all M5's are created equal and different cars would react differently to Dinan's chip because it is made to work for all 3.6 engines. However I doubt you will get Dinan's or anybodies chip to dyno their claimed results on our cars.
While I do have a Dinan chip installed in my car it was done by the previous owner and I have never driven with the stock chip in place so don't know what kind of difference there might be. The chip is a fairly cheap enhancement and is probably worth your time and money. There are several makers besides Dinan such as EAT aka Sylva and Jim Conforti; both of whom have very good reputations.
