Chrome on inside of windows

Hi
The chrome strip along the inside of the windows.. (specificaly the drivers window).. Mine seems like its coated with something and is becoming discoloured a bit.. I would like to clean it but I'll ask first.

Anyone come across anything like this.

Mine are too. I used a bit of de-natured alcohol on one trim and it made no difference. There must be a clear coating on the chrome that has deteriorated over time. I'm just living with it unless someone has easy fix.

I used a metal polish like "Mothers" or "Blue Magic" I prefer Blue Magic. I am sure any metal polish should work though.
