Looking for British `93+ M5 owners manual - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

Hey guys,
The owners manual for my car is all in German (I have a German import), but I can't read it.

I have a copy of the US M5 manual so I can compare page to page to see what's what. However, there are several pieces that are exclusive to the Euro car so they are not listed in the US manual (ex. the Euro Check Control has three priority levels for warning messages, but the US version only has two levels; the EDC parts are not in the US book). Also, I fear that there may be some engine-related issues that may not be a direct translation (ex. different engines, so perhaps different fluid specs and volumes).

Sincs the British and German cars are the same (aside from the whole steering wheel thing), a British manual should be a better solution. Is there a part number for it so i can order one, or does someone have one they'd be willing to part with?

I've got one, but there's no way you're getting it now :p

I was going to offer sooner, but as I am still waiting for my new scanner it will have to wait - latest estimated delivery date it 15th October.

BTW the UK manual is 100+ pages!

I bought some owner manuals from BMW in -Swedish- the other day, I wud assume to get one in -the queen's language- shud be a minor problem - hv one of the UK-guy's with an -ETK- look up the parts-number for you and order it from ur nearest stealer,
it shud be abt GBP 12, that what I paid for the Swedish version. -
'ok' mine was for a 95b-car and the manual consequently from '94
but I believe the issue is not a major problem at all - one good advice though, DO NOT ASK IF THEY CAN GET IT, TAKE THE PART-NO AND -MAKE- THEM TO ORDER IT FOR YOU, unless, of course, if
they hv it in stock = good luck !

Part No is 01 41 9 788 481. The graphics are Euro LHD.

Available from your friendly UK BMW dealer, no fuss, arrived two days after order, at all of £6.00!!!

Just bought one last week.

Now why would a measly 540i driver be buying one of these?

Hi there,

The part number for my 1993 hand book is B01.41.9.786.461.

It was £5.10 + VAT, and covers cars up until the revised 6 speed 3.8, when a new hand book was introduced.
