Mine lights up supposedly with 5 litres left. But when I first got the car it light up as soon as I left Munich Legends and when I stopped at the petrol station I could only get 60 litres into the tank. Oh well, it was Saturday maybe German precision was having a week end off.

hi there

I beleive the point at the low fuel warning light comes is variable, and comes on when the range to empty drops below a distance as well as fuel level in the tank, in order to confirm this I will have to try filling her up the moment the light comes on and comparing how much fuel I can get in the tank when refuelling. perhaps something else to investigate.

Regards

Ivan, i can beat that easily

When doing the Calais to Rome Memorial Run,
i filled up in Calais, the car took about 240 liters!
And that was with 20-30 liters left in the tank.

The attendent did'nt even lift an eye, when i payed Eur 242,- for a fill-up.

Ok i was "cheating" a bit, i had hooked up three
60 liter tanks in the trunk, and were thinking i could go to Rome with no fuel stops.
The cops did not like this setup at all, but thats another story

Re: "My Truck Has Run Out Of Petrol" Competition!!

****, talk about getting 0\/\/n3d at the pump. Prices here in the states have shot up over the last two weeks (it's up to $1.83/gal for ExxonMobil 93 here in Houston) but you Euros are getting raped (what else is new, right? ).

One thing's for sure: I'd be driving a Ford Focus or a some diesel commuter car at those prices.
