Anyone in the Bayern, Germany area?

M5ers,
Well I finally found my car's history. It was originally shipped to Autohaus Anton Altmann in Cham,Germany. Anyone know where that is or how to contact them? I mainly want to see if there's a service history or history of any kind.
Thanks guys,

Steven:

I'm real interested in how you determined the dealer where your car was originally delivered? Do you have any thoughts on the thread I have going titled Euro Auto History? Please keep me posted on your efforts to find the service history on your car as I would like to accomplish the same thing.

Regards, John Z

johzev,
I took great interest in your thread. It was mentioned to contact Mobile Tradition. So I did. Got an e-mail back from a very nice guy who informed me that they don't normally do this sort of thing but he would make an exception for an enthusiast. He basicly told me where the car was originaly sold and the options it had from the the factory. Oh, he also gave me the exact day my M5 rolled out of the factory doors.
The guy at M-T said they don't normally do this because they specialize in the historic side of BMW. So, who exactly you need to contact I don't really know. But, there's always M-T.

Hi,
from what I found out the "Autohaus Altmann" doesn't exist anymore but was taken over by "BMW Stauner". I don't know if they still have any informations about your car, but I doubt they haven't.
Anway their contac data is:
BMW Stauner AG
Am Taschinger Berg 5
D-93413 Cham
phone: +49 99 71 76 05 50
fax: +49 99 71 76 05 76
web: http://www.stauner.com

Cham is eastern Bavaria at the border to the Czech Republic.

Rgds

I went to the BMW.com Int. web page and used the Mobile Tradition link and went to "contact us". I got a reply straightaway with all the pertinent info and a disclaimer stating that they don't normally do this sort of thing. What that means exactly I don't know. Good luck.
