The A/C belt squeal...what do you do?
Alright, so my belt will squeal under hard acceleration. I am almost certain that it is the A/C belt. Correct me if I am wrong, there isn't a belt tensioner and the whole unit has to be moved on the bracket then tightened.

I know that the problem is going to appear again in the future, but what have some of you done to eliminate the slippage? Anything from using 2 people to using a cheater (breaker) bar?

Hello Mark,

Actually all the belts can be tensioned with the assistance of a tensioner on my 3.6, including the A/C. I just renovated the A/C and found that the old girl had lost some teeth in the tensioner, so I got a new one

After having had the system filled it can now handle more than 16kg/cm2 (square centimeter) without any noice.
