Wow, that car is exactly what I have been looking for. Just a shame it's not the original engine.

I wonder how much it will cost to get it on danish plates.

Well, my '91 3,6L would cost aprox €18k in import tax.

This is why i have it registrered in Germany, thru the IMC club http://www.imc-motorclub.de/.

The negative side to this is that it is not legal for me to drive the car in Denmark. But then this automatically brings the positive side, that i then tend to make more trips around europe, for having various fun (Visit Le Mans 24H race, Race the N'ring, join the M5 Alps meet, the Memorial Run etc.)

JP;
Why would you want anything other than Belgian registration?
(If you are Belgian and live there, you would'nt be able to drive the car in Belgium).

The IMC club is a Danish thing, founded as a direct result of our extreme import tax on cars (180%). They specialice in registrering autocambers, cars and MC's, in Germany, for Danish people. I dont know if they will accept Belgians as members, but maybe

Finn,

Thank you very much for the tip. I have been doing a lot of thoughts in just getting it registred in Germany. I just checked www.bilpriser.dk and there the tax would be 38,000 euro.

I have just contacted IMC for getting some more info.

Do you have your car in Germany or Denmark then? Is it possible to keep it in Denmark and just drive it to and from the border on trade plates?

Regards,

peter

one of the last M5tourings ??

that nice looking M5touring might be a good project, if you are
interested, go and drive it and check it out !!
1) it is NOT one of the last 23, the VIN is BL01866 and the VIN
of the last M5touring is BL01943 (my own is BL01900),
yes. there are only 891 made but THAT is another story
2) the car does NOT have ALL the options offered at the time but
it has quite a few incl some Individual-choices
3) a nice car but why incorrect information ? why can't the car
speak for itself with the true facts ??
4) the car was offered last autumn on e-bay but not sold
5) there was NO M5touring-limited edition, the M5touring is a
limited edition in itself with many VERY individual vehicles -
6) the REAL late cars ALL have 'Sonderlackierung' AND
Individual-options, BL01942 is said to be for sale for EUR
22.500
7) prices for the few good cars left are rising ???
if you like it go for it but forget abt the one of the last.....etc.etc.
