Hello Guys

It's been a while since my last post.
I sold my last E34 M5 3.8 in February 2002, a '94, 33k miler in mint condition. The car was sold so I could purchase a Bi-Turbo.
Sadly this never happened and due to certain circumstances I purchased a 'sensible' car, a '99 735i SE.

After much saving 2 months ago I sold the 735 and placed an order for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V11 FQ-300, which I took delivery of a week ago.

Even though I love the Evo it's not an everyday sports car, it's far too focused. So early next year, when I've saved a few more pennies, I'm looking to purchase a model of the fabulous E34 M5 as an every day car.

This is where I was hoping you guys could help me.

My budget is tight about £5-6k.

What car can I obtain for this sort of money and what should I be aware of in this price band ?

My budget at the moment is a maximum of 6k. give me a post when its up for sale and I'll see how I'm standing.
Might be a bit early for me too. Thinking Jan/Feb. but who knows.

Fair enough!! I love E28's, I once had a E28 M535i myself.....The rear was like a bar of imperial leather(soap!!) in the wet.....Lots of fun!

Thanks for replying. I wont be in a position to buy until end of Jan./ beginning of Feb. at the earliest.
Although I would still like some more details on your car if you don't mind, milage etc.
I am tempted to start looking around now but I'm resisting until I have the all clear to go! Ie. The finances.

1991 M5 3.6 Maucau blue half grey leather interior
3.8 style alloys with wider rear rims
125K miles
Full Bmw service history

Recent new parts include:

Front thrust arms and bushes
Rear subframe bushes
Rear pitman arms
Water pump
Gearbox
4 brand new Goodyear F1s 3K miles ago

11 months Mot
4 months Tax

Sounds like the sort of car I'am looking for. I love the colour.
