Exclamation What is your opinion on bmwm5.com Messageboard? Up/Down?

Would be nice to hear some feedback.

We have almost 5000 members since March 2000.

The majority very very nice and helpful members.

Should we change something because more new members or more quantity of posts?

Focus stricter moderation? Stricter terms of Membership? Age limit? Or just keep it as it is. More quality posts?

Focus more on member submitted materials, host and mix more videos? Or just focus on the best info on the M5?

Focus more on fun sportscars in general such as Porsche 911 Turbo?

Focus more on experiences, arrange trips for members such as this:

http://www.bmwm5.com/articles/german...trip2001-1.htm

I know not much have been happening on the rest of the site lately (~a year). I've been focusing on moderating / moving / copying threads so the order is maintained. That is because job and last exams parallell to that.

I know banners are annoying, but it's a must because of the server.

Thanks,

Gustav

I attached a poll (vote is anonomoously )

I look in the E34 M5, and the Off-topic forums mostly,
and dont see any reason to tighten up moderation here.
Only thing is that i often see posts in the OT forum, that have obviously been posted to some other forum first, ex:
It can say in the post: "Please moderators, let this post stay in the main forum for atleast a day".
I dont know what the "main" forum is, but can guess its the E39 M5 forum, since it gets the most traffic.
Theese OT postings in that forum does not annoy me at all, since i dont look inthere, but it might be an idea to explain to posters that post OT material because "This forum gets the most attention", that this is not a valid reason for posting in the wrong forum.
And from experience from other forums, the best way to deal with this i have seen, is to ban those people for 1-2 days every time they do that, then it will sink in

That would be great, i would certainly participate in some group trips.

Dont annoy me at all, as long as there is no "Pop-ups".

And Gustav, keep up the good work, its appreciated.
