What potential problems does one need to look for on a Euro M5 imported to the US????

Hey guys,

I have seen a Euro M5 for sale from a private party. It appears to be in good condition. It is a 1993 3.8L with about 90,000 miles, and it supposedly has all of the federalization paperwork done. One question is, how do you know if they have changed the mileage when converting the speedo? Can they get away with it, or is it hard to do on an M5?

I was wondering what potential problems you can run into with a Euro M5 over in the states? I thought things like parts, condition of German cars, a/c unit, etc... might be issues.

Any help is appreciated. I would love some comments from people who have owned or still own a Euro M5 (including Touring Models).

Thanks
Robert Collins
