As the UK has now become a claims orientated society, Both Insurers and warrenty firms are putting alot more effort into finding non-standard components post crash / breakdown and therefore I would personally always declare even if a cam is the last thing they could possibly find.
To be honset though, there are a number of quite good insurers that allow ECU, airfilter and Cams to be fitted without a hike in premium as long as the overall BHP gain is not more than 15% which is quite fair i thought.
If you do go ahead with the CAM change Mmm-Five I will be very intrested in the real world results. My only concern is the effect to bottom end off-the-line performance which due to the powerband isn't great already!
