Wheel Spacers
Anyone using the E39 wheels on their E34? Do u need spacers? if so what size? I'm thinking of putting the E39 rims on my dads E34. How will they look? pics??

I think the E39 uses a different type of hub, specifically a "hub-centric" hub. Regardless of whether or not the offset is different between the E39 and E34 (I do not have the specs for the E39), to put the E39 wheel on an E34, you need to make the E34 hub acceptable for the E39 "hub-centric." Others that have gone with E39 wheels on the E34 say that Tire Rack can set you up properly.

I have the e39 m-parallel replicas which have the 74mm hub/hole.
the e34 has a 72mm hub. you can buy the hubcentric rings almost anywhere, e.g. Tirerack, local tire stores, etc.

the rings are plastic or metal. I prefer the metal, but either will work.

tighten the lug bolts in a star pattern, but tighten in small increments and finish off with a torque wrench.
