Paint the M Parallels? body color??

Thinking about getting all my M Parallels refinished and.....

had a thought after closely looking at the great pics of Rob Levinson's E34 M5T where he painted the Throwing Stars Sebring Silver to match the lower spoilers. Has anyone painted their M Parallels or done a different color from the stock bright silver or done a two tone like some do with the T-Stars?

I think going to Sebring Silver might look very cool on my Cosmosschwartz 95 M5.

Any and all pics would be great! Enjoying M5in....

Gustav:
There is one E39 M5 Touring made by M-GMBH, it is on Munich plates, and suposedly belongs to a high ranked M employee.

I think Konstantin have seen it in Munich, and have pictures of it.

The one in the post you linked to is somebodys project, not something from Munich, i think. (its still cool though ).

My throwing stars have been refinished to body color, and I've seen several other cars here in Germany with the same treatment (in a variety of factory colors).

I can't speak for anywhere else, but in Germany, this is a very "chic" thing to do, and you only rarely see these wheels in the original factory configuration. The other popular variation is to mount the rear covers facing opposite direction, as mine are in the photos I've referenced, below.

Here's the link: Body Color Throwing Star Photos

M5touring etc

Gustav, thks for the 'flowers' and yes, there is
a lot more. In fact I am planning for a M5touring-web-site.
Problem is I need a 'low budget' web-designer and a host.
I will contact you privately.-

The E39-M5ouring-prototype is apparently driven by Mr.
Prommesberger, the MD of the M-GmbH. If it's not the
'prototype' then they made another one for him.
Does that mean Mr. Prommesberger is in favour of the
M5touring concept ?

throwing star wheel covers painted

I am not 100% sure but I seem to remember that
car colour painted 'throwing star wheel-covers'
in fact was a factory option for the original buyer
and if you want to you can still order them that way
from BMW.
