Stupid little problem:)

Gents,

I'm almost ashaned to ask this on the forum but:
My dash says "washer fluid low". I checked the sensor itself and it reads a perfect zero ohm resistance when magnet-floater is closed. I shortcutted the 2 wires and still the dash says washer fluid low.
I even stripped the wires behind the connectors and shortcutted there but no results.

The wires go together with some other sensor wires and the horn through the fireshield below/behind the DME box.

Now the question:
What's the best way to proceed?

Cheers

Doesn't the switch close when empty, and if so isn't shorting the wires duplicating this? Honest question - I don't know whether tthe switch is normally open or closed.

You have a touring..? There two tanks on those, right... do they display the same message when empty?
