is the 3.8 also batch injection ? with the individual coils i thought it was sequential injection also...

I did 5000 mile trip last summer, 20-24mpg. AC on most of trip.

That's similar to what my M5 got when you convert US to Imperial gallons plus my air conditioning isn't working at the moment.

I usually avg on 15L/100km and highway only would see 9L/100 at a cruise control set 120km/h.
However, i have never tested the OBC with actual fill ups, because i have never managed more than 480km per full tank

If my calculations are right, that's about 26mpg with cruise control. That's very good.

Please note I also have a factory CAT delete option and wasn't using air conditioning at the time as it wasn't working .

I wonder how much difference the CATs make ?

Cruise control could be contributing well to FE on these units. The engine is tuned for responsiveness so the pedal is more aggressive than most, and that leads to worse fuel economy.

Perhaps with the cruise control, that extra layer of control is damping out the throttle input... More like a 'normal' car.
