Press the pin/button that is between the oiltemp-gauge and the watertemp-gauge, for about 15 sec's, then it will change to the next language. Just keep doing it untill you have english.
You may notice that there are an "UK-English" and an "US-English" available. Just try em out, and choose whichever you prefer

Just as an after thought, I had this problem on a 735i SE a few years/cars ago. Only then, the languages were "out of step", eg the trip computer was German, but the display under the speedo was Spanish.

I had to take the radio out, pop the trip computer off it's connector, cycle through the languages to get to German on the speedo display (the same), pop the trip computer back in, and move them both from German to English. Happened a couple of times, and never happened again.

Weird.

All the best
Mark
