Wheel paint code

Hi anyone have the paint code for the 18inch M-Parallel wheels handy. Just managed to kerb one avoiding some S**t head most probably in a stolen car. I'd leave it but it's quite bad and will involve the wheel being heated up and new alloy applied

Also does anyone know if the silver paint code on the BMW M5 is generic for all BMW rims?

regards

Hi

I bought some a few months ago so I'll check for the code although it does seem too dark. I only needed a touch up brush but I was told they aren't available so I had to buy a tin.

If its all the same then you can have mine as I've found a Vauxhall brush which is a better colour match for the chips on my 94 throwing stars.

heard that a place called Wurth stocks various wheel paints, as well as other accessories.

Thanks for the replies,

I've now had the wheels all done including the kerbed one and the job is incredible. Can't even tell where it was welded and machined back!!

As for the colour, the very light silver used on the M parallels was just too difficult to get an exact colour match although it was close. The difficulty was in the metallic partical size so I've had all 4 done and painted with a very close match and they look pristine. If anyone is in the same position it's classed as 'orange peel'

Now to go and christen them on the nearest kerb LOL.

regards

How much?

Hi there.

How much did it cost to refurbish the wheels. I need to fix a curbed one as well (my mistake, slight wheelspin in the snow last winter and I rubbed it).

Thanks.
Bandit

Hi Bandit

It cost around £90 per wheel which included them all being taken down to raw alloy again and being checked for any cracks + the welding and machining of the kerbed wheel. They were then all re-sprayed, sealed, new valves and balanced again.

for the UK this is quite expensive but having seen so many botched jobs at £50 per wheel where they have been over painted or filler used I just didn't trust anyone else.

the only thing I will say is that you really need to get all 4 done at the same time to get a colour match as like car bodies, it's near impossible and will be even more obvious on your design of alloys.

P.S. I almost got them painted metallic black which would have looked quite good against the red of the car. But then I thought better of it. Don't think a buyer would be too impressed if I needed to sell it.
