Resonance flap question

M5 owner's
When I'm accelerating from around 2500 to 4000 rpm the resonance flap seems to cycle maybe 2 or 3 times is this normal? It is as if there is a slight and brief interuption in acceleration. I also noticed it only does this when the weather is hot or when I have more than one passenger.
