Simply stunning, Wout! Definately need to check it out soon.

Bremsenteile - teilecar.com - the best parts for porsche Any good? Seems like they have respectable calipers for decent prices, or is there a catch?

WOUT ,, called me and told me about these brakes,, and the braking power is , as i could understand something like STAR-WARS league..

i have three times got the feeling of driving /passenger in a car with such a brakepower
F 599 ceramic.. stunning

M3 GT twinturbo (owned by member FART and got the SLR ceramic front brakes) also stunning

and ... creme du le creme CAPARO T1,,,,,,,, that was mind blowing

accl, power is impressive.. but stopping power is much more extreme

Well done Wout .. indeed impressive

CGT at front and 993 ((front brakes)) at rear,,,,,,, beat that

Impressive stuff Wout, I always appreciate people who do not compromise despite the ever ongoing constraints of time and money.

You don't have any daylight pics of the whole car with the new brakes? Would be good to see the car as a whole for a better perspective of these monster brakes.

Don't forget that rebuilding them will set you back another hundred if the pistons are ok. I wouldnt buy the Alfa Romeo GTA / Subaru Impreza/ Nissa 350Z brembo's as those are waste-basket stuff from Brembo.

A lot of people went for the 4-piston 911 calipers, I'd get them from the 993 or newer, 964's wont help you on E34's. MAybe for the rear.

One of the cheapest, fire-and-forget brake solutions is E31 Brembo's, which are still available from main dealers in the US at normal prices. This alloy caliper weighs less than the E32 S 320mm rotor-calipers and the 345er floaters and is cheaper to run.

Don't get me wrong , the floaters are a great setup, but they weigh more than my CGT calipers and the rotors in 345 weigh more than my AP's in 360 or 365. Plus the best pads are € 200 a set and harder to come by, rotors are easily warped even on the Ring especially on heavy road cars and will set you back € 200 a piece IIRC. This way, I drop 2K at once and a lot of work, but the residual value will be good ( clients keep asking me to do a set) and running cost lower.

Also, this setup can be transferred in an hour onto our M535i driftcar, in case we want to use that for some heavy, jap-beating drifting once the Hartge engine is in. Slam the E34 and E28 on the hoist, use the calipers over the weekend and then reverse it. 2 hour job, so my invested money and time is spread over 2 cars.

If anyone ever needs reasoning to spend cash on cars, give me a shout. I'll hook you up with stupid reasons

I dont suppose you have some brackets on hand that are for sale? making the brackets would be the biggest nightmare. Can you PM if you really do have them for sale

hi

I turn to you because I need help, I want to put bigger brakes on your car, so I asked you for advice

I have the car wheels from E39 M5 style 65 18 "

whether we can send part number of ap rotor disc one you have on your car, and might have provided an image bracket claws and the center of the disc, their dimension
I thought I put the front of kljsta Cayena porshe turbo, they gave better than 997 or the Cayena of which have 6 pistons.
and to ask that the option for rear brakes

thank you very much, your help is needed

[quote=Sebring NL;1813214]@ Tiago , thanks dude

@ Terry , these are 360mm AP racing rotors with custom center, brakes are off a CGT. For the rears, I'm mounting the std 4-pots of a 997s FRONT (nice for 997 owners in the pub , I got your front brakes on the rears of my old beater bmw). must meet up soon, where the hell are you now? The moon?
