Interior & Exterior Colours

Guys,

I've seen many posts i think you'll agree where we
guess at colours/trim combinations of different M5's
and different model year colours.

I was originally looking for a Colour chart that showed
the different lower body colours against upper paint
colours.
This i found, but realising i had 1990, 91 , 92 , 93 and
1994 brochures i decided to make a listing of the different
combinations available for each of these years.

I hope (some!) of you find this interesting ??!!

1990/1 3.6, both years list same colours & trim codes.....
(lt refers to light lower and dk is dark lower body..)

668 Jet black (lt) 218 Alpine white (dk) 308 Brilliant red (dk)

Metallic: 181 Diamond Black (lt) 250 Macao Blue (lt)
252 Calypso Red (dk) 287 Mauritius Blue (lt) 229 Sebring grey (dk)
244 Sterling Silver (dk) 266 Lagoon Green (lt)

Interior (cloth) 0313 Anthracite 0416 Silver grey

Leather 0318 Black 0417 Light Silver grey
0312 Champagne (full)

Also listed: Black or silver nappa tex,
Anthracite Buffalo hide.
.................................................. .................................................
Lots of changes for 92 model year (3.8 cars uk)

Sebring grey, Macao blue and Mauritius blue no longer listed.

New colours 237 Granite Silver 276 Avus Blue 283 Daytona Violet

Solid colours, 668 Jet Black 218 Alpine white 308 Brilliant red

metallic 181 Diamond black 237 Granite Silver 252 Calypso red
266 Lagoon green 276 Avus blue 244 Sterling silver
283 Daytona Violet.

Interior cloth Amaretta, 0475 Black 0476 Silver grey
Interior Leather, 0312 Nappa Champagne 0318 Nappa Black
0417 Nappa Light silver grey

Nappa tex black or light grey listed as "available" along with
Anthracite Buffalo hide.
.................................................. .................................................. ...
1993 3.8 (uk list)

No nappa tex listed (does anyone actually have this trim ?!)

No more 308 Brilliant red.

New Colours: 267 Dakar yellow, 274 Mugello red.

all previous year colours remain unless listed above.

Interior cloth: same 0475 black and 0476 light silver grey

Interior leather is now split into:

Leather: 0523 Light silver grey, 0522 Black.

Full Leather: 0462 Lotus white/black, 0318/0330 Black/black
0312/0321 Champagne, 0473/417/419 Light Silver grey.

Finally Full Leather Buffalo: 0418 Anthracite.
.................................................. .................................................. .....
1994 UK 3.8 6speed.

Alpine White is now listed as 300 not 218
No Mugello Red 274
No Dakar yellow 267
No Granite Silver 237
No Sterling Silver 244

New Colours Solid: Bright Red 314

Metallic: Arctic Silver 309, Fjord Grey 310, Oxford Green 324
Cosmos Black 303.

Along with: Avus Blue 276, Calypso Red 252 Daytona Violet 283.

Interior trim now listed as:

Cloth Amaretta in Silver Grey (A9SL) or Anthracite (A9AT)

or/

Full Nappa Leather, Champagne L7CM, Light Silver Grey L7SH
or black L7SW.
.................................................. .................................................. .....

That's it ! like i stressed, these are lifted from UK SPEC brochures
so it's likely (and interesting..) to find other colours elsewhere.

Anyone know any others apart from Rosso Red and Orinocco Green (95ltd)....??

I promise NOT to post this long a text again !!!

Regards,

Alan.

Nappa leather wasn't available on the 3,6 litre M5?

Why don't they have CHampagne coloured leather onteh E39 M5 The Caramel is a little bit too dark for my taste

Go into your BMW dealer and ask them to print out a specification list for your car, and as well as all the options fitted to your car it will have your interior trim code.

hi there guys

my m5 has champagne full leather interior, except for the dash wich is covered in black leather, the exterior colour is daytona violet.

most people who sit in the car think the interior colour suits the car very much, thec other advantage is that the light colour doesnt make the interior gets so hot in the strong spanish sun.

Can anyone post pictures (may be from the brochures) of the light silver grey and champaigne leather for comparison?
