I run a shop in Tucson and know my way around an S38. In Phoenix you'll want to talk to Andrew @ Bavarian Motors LTD (on 16th st).

Please tell him that Andrew @ Saguaro Automotive Group referred you.

As an aside to other members here... if you're looking for a shop in your area and can't find a referral from a friend then please check out the member directory on BIMRS - Independent BMW Service on Planet Earth. These are all independent shops who posses a high level of technical savvy and are committed to customer service. Interacting with the other member shops on a daily basis I'm constantly impressed with the level of talent out there in the independent service community.

BMW Only!! is this a possible partnership with BMW classics?? Best of luck with the new venture

The e34 is lookig great Andrew and an absolute peach. I would feel great about putting it on a pedestal and just staring at it but as you so correctly stated they are meant to be driven.

With regard to the engine what would the cost be over there for the full engine from BMW?? less man hours of work than rebuilding and the 2 year guarantee! Just food for thought

AMP,

I called and spoke to Andrew this morning. Im quite disappointed as he was a complete ***. The started off the conversation with "let's get this outta the way first....nothing is free. I don't look at anything...smell anything...feel anything....or listen to anything for free. Got it?" I was quite shocked. I simply asked to drop by and meet him and show him the car...

There are idiots in every profession, time to find another shop methinks.

Plenty of competent people around.

Good luck!
