After replacing a lot of parts (vacuum lines, temp sensor, O2 sensor, plugs, coil boots, one coilpack, all filters, maf boot, valve adjustment, TB adjustment and sync) to try and get my car to stop running rich and being down on power (the parts were original to the car, so they were due for replacement) and not really fixing it and before I spend an insane $$$ on a new MAF, I decided to give Injection Labs a call and go ahead and send my MAF to them.
Just received an e-mail from Kevin, saying that my unit is ready. I'll report if this fixed my issue and how the car drives with the "new" MAF. If that doesn't fix it I will get a new O2 relay as per an earlier thread and see if that fixes it. If not I will be at a bit of a loss.
Understandably Injection Labs has not seen this MAF before (not used on an engine sold in NA, and only used on the 3.8 E34 M5), but said that Bosch only uses a few calibrations and there was some other Bosch MAF that had a similar circuit to our MAF's.
If this works out, there will be a much cheaper alternative to MAF replacement for us 3.8 guys as the rebuild was $175+shipping. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned folks.
