Question about springs if you do the SLS delete

If I buy the SLS delete kit from BavAuto, what type of springs do I need? I was originally looking at the H&R springs for the M5 (with SLS), however since I'm getting the SLS delete kit, would I just purchase the H&R springs that would fit a 535i or any other e34? Any recommendations on springs?

Planning on getting the RD Bilsteins so any recommendation that would go with those shocks would be great.

I just got the exact setup done on my car. H&R Springs (from BavAuto) and RD Bilsteins all 4 corners. I'll have to check my receipt to get the exact specs on the springs for you. Feel free to PM me if you're interested in meeting up.

Depends one your driving and road conditions.

Vogtland/Bavauto are frim but the softest of the sport srings

Eibach firm (I have these and like them for daily driving)

H&R firmest

Bob,

Are you running the RD bilsteins as well?

If so, what's the ride quality like with the eibachs? Much firmer than stock? Car feel more precise/planted?

Cheers,

Cheers,

I haven't installed them yet...I am kind of doing a big rebuild on the ol' girl, so right now I am collecting all the parts and me and my boys are going to tear in to it like a pit crew on 6 pots of coffee once my mail box has exploded and my Visa card has melted.

Sounds like a plan .

I've been told that the mechanics found a lump of metal stuck to the magnet in the gearbox... box had a rebuild by a previous owner about 5-6,000k's ago... I've noticed no noises or anything untoward in the box so I'm hoping that it's a possible carry over from slack dealership work...

My SLS is leaking quiet bad, I'm yet to ascertain how bad but it looks to be rather profuse... maybe I'll just say i've got a custom wet leg setup on the right-hand side :P

Considering getting a set of those RD bilsteins to have on-hand, even if I end up going with Koni's or rebuild the SLS units.

Look forward to your opinion of them.

I've had H&R's on a 2001 330xi and I thought the ride was too harsh for a daily driver. I'll most likely be going with the Eibach's, but I noticed there's 2 part #s for the E34

2013.140 (I believe this is the correct one to get)
and
2025.140

Again this is for a 1991 BMW M5 (which will have the SLS delete kit installed)
