slight prang - is it still ok to drive?

Had a stop / start prang on the M25 (london orbital motorway) this evening, probably only 5mph (foot missed the brake ops: )

ran into the back of a toyota rav4 - hit his spare wheel (as it hangs on the back door) - but have dented and bent the bonnet :-(

Everything seems ok, got home from m25 (15 miles of hot weather que’s), no cooling system drips, no funny noises and instrument readings all fine, and the air con also still working.

BUT, due to drive to Goodwood tomorrow morning – what do think?

Should I leave the old girl at home?

pretty annoyed with myself, had just started to get on top of things that needed doing :-(

photos attached - opinions gratefully received.

*think* I've worked out why I had the accident, just took my shoes off to sit down and found that the sole of my right shoe is loose / has become unglued from the base... must have got caught up in the pedals somehow - which explains why I couldn't work out what was happening with my feet.

thank god it happened in bearly moving traffic at low speed!

... and a couple more photos

Hi Jamie ,

Really sorry to hear about this m8 .......I wouldn't woryy about driving it as long as all fittings are in place and the rad is not damaged .

Meanwhile , try spending less money on your M5 and more money on your shoes .......

If you'd have said you were strapped I would have let you have that A pillar tweeter for free !

D

serves me right for rushing to beat the M25 traffic by keeping my gardening trainer boots on (had been helping a friend coppice some trees in his garden).
