DISASTER HAS STRUCK MY M5
Yes the engine has dropped a valve
I am breaking the car:

Reason: Title edit mainly.
1. Are your prices including delivery within the UK?
2. Will you ship at cost abroad via tracked courier?
3. Which make and model tyres are fitted to the wheels and how many mm left?
4. Is the price for the big brakes (I assume the floating versions) for the calipers only, or calipers plus disks and pads and if so how worn are they?
As an aside, if you are shipping disks and pads with the calipers it would be most beneficial to the new owners if you would keep each disk/pad set packed with the caliper it came from so it works fine with no 'mixed bits' having to bed in, as this can cause issues on part-worn items.
Kind Regards
Ivan

The Following User Says Thank You to IvanDias For This Useful Post:
Hi there, im really sorry to hear your car has chucked its engine, ive seen it driving around Huddersfield in the Dalton area, My bro Andy drives the burgandy M5 with the split rim wheels from Lepton.
Ive asked him if he wants your floating calipers, but hes said hed need to change the wheels for 18's but has asked if you prepared to sell your propshaft and LSD?
No worries if not, if you dont ask you'l never find out, if you want a second opinion on your engine, i can put you onto the lad who rebuilt our andys block, he used to work at redline racing in brighouse and did a great job on our kids at the time deceased engine.
Best regards and sorry again to hear about your car
As long as you stick to the forum rules, you are welcome. Member DaytonaM5 answer may not have been that appropriate, but in one aspect he has a point; this is a forum that is dedicated to the E34 M5, maintaining-and enjoy them and share information about them. In that respect, the contents of your post does not show much dedication.
I cannot and will not judge your motives, but as an enthusiast, I am sad to hear that an example of one of the best supersaloons has to 'die', just because it dropped a valve. Granted, this is an expensive repair, but in your first post, you implicitely write that you want to rebuild th engine, but then for an E12 conversion. Although that is a true classic of its own, but only with the original engine.
But again; it's your car, your money and your decision.
