Turbine Wheels E34 M5

I have a very clean set of turbine wheels off my 1991 M5. Any idea how much I can get for them.? There in excellent shape. Need to clean out my garage.

are they the standard 17x8? or staggered with 17x9 rear? Do you know if they're cast or forged, forged are a bit more valuable, but i'm not totally sure how to tell the difference.

A full set of 17x8's in very nice shape are probably worth about $1000 - 1200. Staggered with 17x9 forged wheels may get a couple hundred more.

The turbines are not that popular, you may actually make a bit more money selling the bare wheels and the turbine covers seperately. I may be interested in some extra turbine parts if you end up doing this.

ok, the covers will fit either wheel. Probably a couple hundred bucks, do you have all of the parts? The main cover, the center cap and the turbine/fan ring?

If there in great shape i'd give you $200 for them, i have a couple of ratty looking center caps and one turbine that needs some help.

The 8" came in forged as well. The set that came on my car from the factory is an 8" forged set.

How can you tell the difference between the forged and not forged ones?
The later model (M-system II) are they always forged? This is the impression I get when reading the material from BMW. They are always referred to as "Schmiederäder", forged wheels.

M System I & II used the same wheels, just different covers and different bolts for the covers.

I don't know if they made the cast versions early, late or during the entire production run. My car was built on 9/25/95 so it was a very late build E34 and has the forged M Systems.

There was a webpage that a guy showed pics of the forged & cast ones and showed you how to tell the difference between them. But I can't seem to find that page at the minute to show it to you.

The forged wheels have bridged spoke ends where they meet the hub bore center. The cast wheels have that section scalloped in, and they have a stamp as well, I think its PSE.

Let me go to my file and find out what the letters are again.
