These have just been bought and TBH they aint for me, cut out your old amber lense and bond this in its place. Genuine Radicast lenses bought last week from Sweden. About £180 delivered, looking to try clawback £150 delivered. Expensive yes, but unique, only a few british tourings have these.

Hello,i bought the same for my car.I saw few months ago on the net the explications with pictures to cut out the original lenses and to replace them by the radicast but impossible to find them anymore. If you know how to proceed especially to cut out the old and what kind of glue i should use to install the new one i would appreciate your help.Regards.
ELekta has sent a PM to me,maybe thats what he means ,
@ Elekta, i have started puttung them into lights unfortunately as i didnt thisnk they were sellers, for teh record the moulds are not that great and require ALOT of adjusting, certainly not value for money IMO but i will persevere and post pics when i finish them, I have a few as i am going along too which i will post .
Thanks the Flying Banana,
well it doesn't sounds soo good concerning the quality of those lenses....
Before to start the modification i will wait for clear infos to do it
Regards
I've built a pair before and with a table top roll sander, you can make them fit perfectly. I sold the last pair with my 530iT and was looking to get another pair on the cheap. I can't navigate that swedish site even with a translator to order a pair.
What a nice result!
How totake off the orange lenses and what kind of glue did you used to fix the whites?
i just called VPARTS in Sueden and the guy told me i have to crack the orange indicators with a hammer(how to make the borders perfect?) and to glue the white lenses with black silicon...??
Do you confirm?
I wouldn't crack anything. Use a drill to make a pilot hole and then use a dremel to cut away the ambers. Then a new blade on a retractable knife to cut away the little bits. Put blue tape on the reflector to keep from scratching it too badly. I used a quick glue like crazy glue to tack it on and then clear silicon to seal it. I used testor's black to repaint the black line.
Mostly it takes patience and a old fashion wood vise to hold the assembly. I'll find my other pics..
I used this tint...two drops on the inside smeared around and then wiped almost all of it out with a paper towel, and what was left was the perfect tint
I drilled an outline about an CM away from the edge with a small drill then the orange lense snapped out. I used a fine hacksaw along the bottom edge where its meets the red lense , The rest I snipped off and tidied up the edges . Because the lense wasn’t a great fit ( seemed to bend up the way )
I used a 2 pack mouldable putty adhesive. And rolled it out into a bead and placed along edges. It gripped a lot better and quicker than silicone.
