Yeah, by about six months :-) I was going through my digital camera pictures and had forgotten about this one. Found a good thing about my alarm though. When I broke the icy surface of the snow, it went off. I didn't think I had the glass breakage sensor.
depends on the poit of view....

You wash your car like it was your firstborn child, you tend to its needs like it was your own body, you rotect it like it's your family, then you drive it like you stole it.
I just picked up my M5 and it will be my primary car through the Canadian winter this year so I am interested to hear what others have to say. I am thinkking a set a Michelin Pilot Alpin's should to the trick.
I'm sure with winter tyres on an e34 m5 is livable with in the snow and slush but with PS2's snow is a nightmare. I got caught in spring by a snow storm and the car with its limited slip diff was interesting to say the least. Even just slipping the clutch without throttle sent it sideways.

Hi!
I drove my -93 M5 touring 6,5 years all year round appr. 60000miles of which about half in winter conditions.
Brilliant car in snow/ice conditions with the smooth power and easy progressive throttle. Limited slip diff is also a plus. I find myself struggling much more with the E39 530dat. Postproduction winter testing E34 M5....
Is this enough snow for you??? Winterpics + solution on power shortage

I drive my M5 all year just like Sakke did.. No problem , but I use tires with studs as we have a lot of ice and snow here, and a bit smaller than standard tires ( 215-55-16) . Car is very good .
As long as you don`t apply to much revs to fast it is very stable and predictable. Drifiting in 4th and 5th with 2000-3000rpm is very fun ..
Problem is that because the car is so stable in these conditions it is easy to drive to fast , which would cause a problem when a sudden need to stop very fast occurs . Not that the brakes are any bad , but more speed equals longer brake distance on ice.. Something a friend of mine experienced the hard way when borrowing my car. Long story short , the car had damge for around 20 000$ included labour. Not much damage to the body , but very expensive parts .. So no I got a new gas tank, new diff, new front, rear and side skirts and new bushings and two new EDC dampers.. So not all bad..
