Sakke,
Good to see that you use your car to it's potential all year and some cool pics on the ice road. Quick question with no debate needed, what oil do you run in the winter for your -30 conditions and is your car garage kept? Might as well get as much useful winter driving info in this thread as possible.

5-40/5-50 oil is good .. 0-40 would also work ..

engine can be a bit rough when start up in very cold climate , but I garage mine and then it is no problem.

Used both 5W50 and TWS 10W60, I know that the last one is propably too thick in those conditions, but I never experienced any problems(like heavy cranking/not able to turn around the engine). I had a petrol driven heater though- so the engine was pretty warm when starting.

I used 225/55 16" studless vredestein and Nokian winter tyres....worked a treat.

I do regular trips to the Swiss Alps/Liechtenstein in my M5T. Winter Conti's go on in November and stay until the end of March. I find the M5T great on snow covered roads. Slight change of scene for this coming winter though as one of the trips looks like being to Slovakia for some winter climbs in the Tatras.
