Considering 01 Z3 M Roadster

Long term M5 owner is looking for S54 315 HP Z3 M Roadster.
Any thoughts as to issues, concerns, prices, as well as locations of forums for data?
Thanks.
Mike

I read that there were issues on some of them with the rear suspension welds cracking and having to be repaired by BMW for a couple years as a goodwill since there werent enough cars having the same problem to order a recall. Just my 0.02.

Is it safe to assume that the roadster would be a sunny day car and would not be replacing the beast?? I think they'd make an excellent pair.

stable mates

roortube,
Yes. I will keep E39, finest car I have ever owned, and use M roadster on sunny days and dry nights. I test drove Elise, but want something that doesn't knock my fillings out or damage my hearing.
Plus, my wife will want to drive it and I bet I can barter.....

Suspension Crack

WillM5,
Thanks for the advice. I'll check the cars I'm looking at.
