Bugs and bodywork - advice needed

After about 6 hours of removing tar spots, polishing and waxing, I finally had a shiny M5 yesterday. The effort nearly killed me
This morning, I looked out of my bathroom window to check on the cars, and I found these little buggers all over it again...
Now these things come from a local stream, and I think they assume a shiny surface is a river, and land.
Unfortunately, they all die for some odd reason, flip upside down, and glue the wings to the paintwork.
Question is, is there some product I can use to protect the paint that will make it easier to remove the glued on wings?
I've used AG Super resin polish, and I'm going to get some of their harder wax polish as well...
But... what better place to ask the advice of experts
Any thoughts gents?

I have no real advise, but that last pic looks like a squadron of old Spitfires flying in formation. KEWL !

Just get a clay bar, lube and some quick detailer.

Try the quick detailer first - spray it on the flies, leave for a couple of seconds and then wipe off.

If that doesn't work then it's the clay & lube, followed by the QD to get the shine back.

Perhaps you could stick a load of venus fly traps all over your car before going to bed at night ?!

Hahaha, mmm I think the flies would overpower the venus flytraps... or they'd get fat and lazy lol

It feels like trying to remove a squadron of spitfire's from the roof too...

I've bought some AG 'Extra gloss protection' and also some AG 'Active insect remover' which is supposed to be safe on paint :~
I don't think I'm ever going to bother with a respray.... fighting a losing battle living in the countryside lol

Car covers end up scratching the paint.
I've got a lightweight complete car cover, which is great for the couple of days it's on, then I take it off and it's covered in grit, so I can't put it back on until it's washed. Back to square one lol...
I think a new pad with a garage is the way to go....

If you really can't remove the little bastards then I have heard that brake fluid removes most things!

Do the flies just come out at a particular time of year? You could go and kill them at the river, sorry to hear about all your wasted effort.

Oh yes, my first suggestion is not a good idea just in case you are desperate.

Once it's covered in bugs, it seems the other bugs can see the carnage and don't land....

I think leaving it filthy is the way to go....lol
