Water, water, water. Keep the car wet. Put a sprinkler up or something, or spray it with a hose after it is waxed so the beads stay. Then wash it off in the morning. You may have to wax more and it may be more labour intensive, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

if it happens at night i guess you could place those eletric lights near the car , so they go to the light and die "eletric chair" style...

i HEAR the smell of wd40 can make them go away... could be urban legend... hehehehehe

Excellent idea GrandRoyaL, one of those UV light thingies they have in chippies and sandwitch shops. Plus you have the satisfaction of hearing them go pop as they hit the electrifed wire! Buzzz!!
