Introduction - 1993 M5

Hi all,

My name is Evan and I'm new here. I'm a Taurus and enjoy long walks on the beach. Below is my '93 M5. Yes I'm aware the throwing stars are on backwards in these pictures, it's now on RE01R tires and the covers face the right direction.

Welcome to the board Evan, I like the black colour! How long have you had the car?

The E36 was my old time trial car, it was sold last month and replaced with a Spec E30 to go wheel to wheel racing with. Instructing DE's and Time trialing was getting a little tiresome.

I've had the M5 for about 4 months now, so far so good, I've only had to replace the tires and clutch slave cylinder. I did the flex disc on the driveshaft as well since it looked a little ratty.

Very nice looking car. How many miles are on the car? Do you have any pictures of the E30? Congrats again on the purchase.

M5 just hit 140k miles. I think it needs upper strut mounts, getting a slightly disconnected feel over bumpy roads. Most of the front end parts are new, control arms, tie-rods, etc, and the shocks are bilstein sports which aren't leaking, so I can't think what else it would be.

I don't have great pics of the E30 yet, but here's one from the day I picked it up.

Thanks for the mileage info and the pics of the E30. It really is a full out racer.

Haha, yep, has to be towed to the track. She won 3 races in the last 2 years... so when I start losing this fall we'll know who's to blame. The car obviously!
