service manual?

Hello everyone:

I'm a new member on here and would like to introduce
myself and my newly adquired 93 e34 M5. This will certantly
be a new expirence for me as i've always had jap cars with
tons of upgrades.

I would like to know if there is a service manual specific for
the e34 m5. The previous owner gave a bently manual for
the e34 in general but there is very little to none info about
the m5 on there. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy and would
like to perform most if not all the work on my car as i've done
in the past with my previous cars.

Thank you very much for your help.

The information for the M5 is incorporated into the E34 5 Series manual, and shown separately wherever there are differences such as oil grade, and location of engine items such as power steering fluid container, coolant tank, etc.

I bought an owners manual on ebay for my 1989 M5 but for the more detailed repair items/parts these pages are very useful:

Free Phone System Manuals Voice Communications 800 593-6000

e38.org BMW 7-series information and links

bmwboeken

RealOEM.com Online BMW Parts Catalog

Here are some ebay listings. The third item or the last should suit you well:

Hello, welcome to you and the other recent arrivals to the forum. This thread -
W/S manual
has a link to the S38 BMW workshop manual that still works believe it or not. Using the search function will uncover some excellent threads from the past that will keep you busy for hours, however keep the questions and comments coming as that's what keeps the place alive.
Enjoy.

That last link doesn't seem to have as much info on the S38 as I'd like, but will most definately be helpful if pulling the engine or replacing the headgasket becomes necessary...and I certainly hope that neither does become necessary in the near future!!
