Lol oh no are you saying my GPS is broken?! Oh well either way it was well past 150mph on the speedo, the GPS unit is a Garmin Nuvi so Im not too sure on its accuracy compared to performance only orientated GPS units. Anyways the car is a 3.6 its simply got a Dinan remap and a lightweight flywheel (which in 5th gear isn't doing too much compared to the lower gears) as well as lots of maintenance!

I too had an indicated 168mph and was very stable this was 6 years ago and the car has since had loads of suspension/bush work done.

I remember wanting to go on

Maybe you are getting old or maybe your suspension components are ?!

Glad to have you back ........

Hello Mate,
Yes back from the army.

Got two options for my E34 M5.
A- restore it from bumper to bumper, repaint, and new interior. Forged Naturally Aspirated engine. A daily driver.

B- Twin turbo system, repaint, new interior. Big power. Not a daily driver. And a zeemax wide body kit to accomodate beefy tires.

Really cannot decide as I love the lines/contours of the E34 M5. Dont want to spoil the lines/original shape. On the other hand, a second voice tells me to make a beast out of it and lots of power..

Got a E46 with over 1000 whp and my E36 is under twin turbo surgery. In fact, I dont need a thrird fast car, as I already have two M3s with turbos on them. But the 3.8L displacement is taking my mine....What would you say?

The E34 M5 is an iconic , rare and beautiful super saloon which is becoming more collectible by the day .

Decent E30 M3s are few and far between now , even though there were more produced originally , and their values reflect as much .

That is why I would keep my E34 M5 as original and mechanically sound as possible !

Ditto to Option A

The E34 M5 is one of the few cars that truly came out of the box just about perfect.

And as Davidoli mentioned, its value is finally coming into what it should've been a few years ago.

My M5 felt great around 276-278 km/h. Its a little nerve racking cause your going so fast the slightest touch to the wheel is an instant response. Even more so now since i swapped my rubber steering rod guibo with a urethane one. I think at speeds like that definate downforce in front is necessary. My front splitter helps alot as i notice at speeds 230 + the car feels much more planted.
